PATLIB Centre located in the Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information (SCSTI), directly managed organization by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic, is a part of the network of European PATLIB (Patent Library) centres. It  was created  in 2003 on the basis of mutual agreement  between the SCSTI, Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic (IPO SR) and the European Patent Office (EPO).

The role of the PATLIB centre is to provide the public  with  patent information services and  information concerning  industrial property.

 

PATLIB Project
In 2010-2013 the PATLIB centre of the SCSTI has partcipated in the EPO pilot project aimed at the reorientation of PATLIB centres to provide more sophisticated services. The objective of the pilot project was to extend provided services to specialized sophisticated services.
Project participants were from: Bohemia, Estonia, Finland, France, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Italy and Turkey.
